Haymarket is committed to providing its event attendees and employees an environment free from harassment and discrimination of any kind and regardless of race, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, ethnicity, race, religion, disability, or other protected category. We are proud to serve professional audiences where appropriate behavior is expected, and it is our utmost priority that every attendee feels safe and respected. Harassment of any kind is unacceptable and will not be tolerated. This Policy extends to all interactions including direct conversations, forums, workshops, panel discussions, presentations, social media, parties, social events and after parties, and applies to all attendees including sponsors, speakers, event staff and anyone engaged with the event. Every event attendee is expected to treat one another with respect and agrees to conduct themselves in accordance with our Event Policy. Should you invite guests, you are responsible for informing them of the attendee obligations and prohibitions outlined herein. Attendees not complying with this policy will be notified and are expected to stop any offending behavior immediately. Should any behavior of an attendee be deemed illegal or inappropriate or a potential legal or reputational liability, in Haymarket’s sole discretion, it will be grounds for Haymarket to refuse admission from the event, including any future events, and will also be grounds for immediate expulsion from the event. Such an attendee shall not be entitled to any refund. Any finding of harassing behavior may also result in breach and termination of any applicable agreement with the concerned attendee (e.g., if with speaker, sponsor).
Examples of harassment include, but are not limited to demeaning verbal comments, deliberate intimidation, inappropriate contact, etc.
You may report any harassing behavior, you are subject to or witness, to a Haymarket employee and if appropriate and desired by you we will try to arrange for an escort by staff or a trusted person, help contact a friend, and/or contact local law enforcement. For any reports made, we shall take reasonable precautions in maintaining confidentiality. Should you wish to contact us anonymously, you may do so using this form. We value the engagement and participation of all our staff and attendees that make our events successful and meaningful. We intend for our events to have zero tolerance for harassment and want all attendees to feel safe and respected.
